2014 Week 2 B1G FB Open Thread

I can't defend the B1G anymore...Outside of OSU, MSU and Wisky this conference is a collection of very largely populated MAC programs. They play football with the speed and grace of old people fucking...and its equally difficult to watch.

there is no ray of hope on the horizon that I can see. Who knows...maybe that's what the other 11 schools want to be. But this current product is unwatchable unless you watch it for the comedy value.
I would really like to see a revamp of the Big Ten in the off season where 9 of the coaching staffs lose their jobs. Not to make this sound political, but the big ten is like the republican party. A bunch of old guys resting on their laurels that can't attract a young crowd. Even MSU puts very little effort in recruiting. I think the Pedsters made the right move in snagging a younger, more energetic coach that loves to recruit. Being a major school football coach requires 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, much of that time on the road, and for 1-5 million a year I think the schools have paid for that kind of work week and the coaches aren't delivering. They need to go to the Vanderbilts, the Kentucky's, the Clemsons, the Texas Techs, the Baylors of the world, schools without the rich history and start throwing some freaking money at these guys. Give them whatever they want, and buy a freaking private plane so they can recruit their asses off.
