It's pretty bad. bammer, auburn, ole miss, moo u, arky, lsu, tennessee, mizzou are all in the lowest 25% of most "overall" rankings. I did forget Vandy, but they're essentially a NW without the Rose Bowls. Didn't realize UGA was as solid, and aTm is respectable. But when about 75% of your conference is in the bottom 25% of most lists, football is pretty much all they have. I'm not one for academic smack, but I do see it as a contributor to the gap. Schools like Purdon't, IU, Illinois, NW, Minny are never going to throw what schools like Ole Miss, arky, Tennessee, etc will at a football program. Hell, even scUM, one of the conference "blue bloods" would be middle of the pack in the SEC.Fair enough, though i dont think its quite that bad. Bama, auburn, ole miss, etc are not that great but georgia is up there w/florida last i checked.
i dont think its too much to ask that the little 12 spend the money being made by schools making bcs games though... otherwise should just kill revenue sharing like texas
