2014 Week 2 B1G FB Open Thread

a day late and a dollar short. Wyoming already hired Craig Bohl. stupid Huskers...
They could probably snag him from Wyoming. But what I would like to do is see them head down to Oklahoma and throw $5-6 mil at Mike Gundy or Chris Peterson, or David Cutcliff. None of them make more than 3 mil. Go get someone with some energy. I would actually love to see Illini, Purdue and Nebraska all throw out some money for guys like that. I just don't get it. Use that BTN money or, it's going to dry up.

Your right...eventually the money will dry up if the rest of the conference doesn't step up

More than HCs, i think the b10 underpays assistants and it shows in player development
This conference doesn't look at itself like the SEC does. There are multiple respected academic institutions that don't give a rat's ass about sports. The only ones that do are the ones with rich tradition in the sport, and one of THEM is currently employing a gluttonous beacon of mediocrity. The SEC has UF and a bunch of trade schools. Football is all they have. It'll never be even. It just won't.

I understand that. Anything to win and lowering your ethics is not what I'm looking for. One big thing is finances. Football brings in a ton of money. If that money isn't wisely invested then profits will start to shrink. Illini already can't fill the stands. How many people do you think will tune in to watch their alma mater suck? Iowa and Purdue are next up for 90% empty stadiums.

Fair enough, though i dont think its quite that bad. Bama, auburn, ole miss, etc are not that great but georgia is up there w/florida last i checked.
i dont think its too much to ask that the little 12 spend the money being made by schools making bcs games though... otherwise should just kill revenue sharing like texas
