2014 TSUN Shenanigans and Arguments

Thread discussing the possibility that Harbaugh might be the head coach at Michigan sometime. (Original poster suggests "next year".) Most people are reasonable and state that it isn't going to happen. But this guy asks a question that I would have thought was self-evident, but apparently he didn't think so:

Would UofM be a step up for JH?

The obsession UM fans have with Harbaugh is psychotic.
Too bad they didn't have that obsession before he went to the NFL. I remember the sentiment being they didn't want him as a coach bc of the absolutely true comments he made about football players being steered into easy majors.

BUT NOT HERE AT MICHIGAN! WE HAVE THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF FOOTBALL PLAYERS IN ALL OF COLLEGE!

And you can hear and see the proof every time Desmond Howard shows up on ESPN.

It's much like the revisionist history of a high percentage of Michigan fans that clamored for Drew Henson to start over Tom Brady.
That's absolutely not revisionist history. Chat rooms were filled with scUM fans calling for the hot-shot, uber-recruit local kid. Every loss, and every time Brady had a mediocre game, it got louder. Brady was not necessarily hated, but he was not overly popular. I'd call the situation similar to what happened to Todd Boeckman here, just that Brady didn't implode like Todd did.

*Edit, looks like I misread Mike's post. He's saying scUM fans are claiming they never did it.

right, I'm saying UM fans love to say how great Tom was at Michigan, when they were probably the same ones who wanted him benched in favor of Drew

There's still awfully butthurt about 1974. (Mike Lantry missed a field goal that they think he made. It would have won the game for Michigan.)
1972, also. (Some guy they think scored a touchdown, but he was called down. They lost 14-11.)
1973, too. What's the German word? Schadenfraude?
Michigan fans love to bring up 1969. I like to bring up the seniors of 1974, who lost 2 games in 3 years, and never played in a bowl game.

Thinking about 1973, why was Michigan screwed? If the positions had been flipped, would they be saying that Ohio State got screwed? I understand that Ohio State went after the 1972 season, and that Franklin was injured, but that's irrelevant, in my opinion.
