2014 TSUN Shenanigans and Arguments

I am one of these guys who can't conjure up real hate for Michigan. I used to have it, but I'm too old and may have too much perspective. I still have "sports" hate where the week of The Game I want nothing more than for Ohio State to beat them by 60 and go for 2 after every score. But that's about as far as it goes. I enjoy some good natured ribbing with their fans.

I was in Philadephia 2 weeks ago - at the Betsy Ross house, of all places. There was this guy about my age (50ish) all decked out in his scUM gear. I had my Ohio State hat on. I went up behind him, put my hand on his shoulder, and said, "Good luck on Saturdays this year - except for that last game." I started to walk away, but he and his daughter stopped me, and I got an earful of how frustrated they are with the struggles of their team and losing to Ohio State. On the latter point, the daughter said, "You have no idea how frustrating it is." I was like, "Uh, evidently you do not remember the John Cooper years." These folks were emotionally needy so I threw them a lifeline by telling them that these things are cyclical and it will turn at some point. While that's probably true, I hope it's not in this case.

Michigan has 2 wins against Ohio State since Cooper's last year - and that's 2 too many.

I won't be satisfied until the series is even and Ohio State erases the advantage scUM created in the leather helmet days.

You guys are hardcore. I'm getting soft - in more ways than one.

I became a grandpa in March and the sun now rises and sets on that little girl. That love is crowding out the hate.

That said, "Hail to those fornicators, hail to those masturbators... and to those ennate copulators and to those who vacuum male poultry with their mouths."

My daughter had the opposite effect on me. My hatred for tsun has been galvanized into a frenzied white hot loathing malevolence.

I have to set an example, after all.

Raising kids right is good for America, and Buckyle is doing his job.

First thing I bought my precious was an OSU onesey. She will be wearing it today when my son comes over to watch the game. Anything corn and bruised is banned in the household.

My 5 month old grandson is also on his way over to watch his first game wearing tOSU gear. And puke and blue has never been allowed in our house or our daughter's house.
