To either be hated or loved is better than being ignored... My Aggy friend was trying to give me a hard time... He shut up when I pointed out noone cared enough about his team to hate them... Domers are the same way... no one cares about them enough.

The map is so interesting because it shows how many teams are pretty much ignored/irrelevant to most fans. Teams like aTm, Mich St, Louisville, Auburn, Clemson and ND are not even mentioned. And I'm surprised no hate in Texas of all places for the Oklahoma Sooners, or parts of Florida for FSU.

I'm sure if they were to get all crazy like (and would probably need way more data points) they could go by county. But with it being states as a whole a lot of it makes sense.
