2014 TSUN Shenanigans and Arguments

it's not just those forums, either. I'm a little concerned with the actual number of people who think it's happening.
The only people that are pushing it are m*ch*g*n-centric. And those that aren't are getting it from m*ch*g*n guys. I'd never say never, but I've heard enough people that should know say it isn't happening, that I'll take their word over the notorious sunshine and lollipops m*ch*g*n sources. Plus, him leaving the NFL just doesn't make sense.

The CBS sports podcast guys made a good point: apparently Harbaugh hasn't said no to Michigan yet, or Hackett wouldn't be talking about him. The podcast guys don't go so far as to say they think Harbaugh will be the next Wolverine HC, but it's at least food for thought.

I still think someone like Dan Mullen will end up there.

apparently Harbaugh hasn't said no to Michigan yet...

Of course he hasn't. All he's doing is driving his price that Oakland/Miami/Tampa Bay/NYJets/Washington/Whoever will have to pay for him after the season ends. The threat of returning to the college game just gives him a little more leverage in negotiating his next contract.

I don't think Harbaugh has any intention of returning to college, and the longer that Hackett is willing to sit and wait (and let their few remaining recruits twist in the wind), the more comical this is for us....

And I don't expect there to a formal declaration of "No" to anyone at any time. All it will amount to is a press conference to introduce him as "the next coach at ____________." Undoubtedly, the ttun faithful who are "all in" will feel like the bride who finds out at the alter that her fiance ran off with the bachelor party stripper.

Beat me to it.

scUM = leverage for him

why on earth would he voluntarily take away that leverage?

If Miami loses again, I see the trade for Harbaugh to the Dolphins happening. Stephen Ross may be a scUMmer, but he is hearing from the Dolphans in dollars not being spent on a .500 team. His own bottom line might just trump his allegiance to his alma mater.

More important than leverage with future employers, I think it gives him leverage with San Fran. If he goes back to college, the 49ers get nothing.
He has multiple reasons to minimize/undermine whatever trade/compensation the 49ers demand.

Classic m*ch*g*n "insider", blogger, hullabaloo...

Some of this is from people who swear Harbaugh wants to remain in the NFL. Some of this comes from within the Michigan base. It would look pretty bad for Brandon if Hackett did lock Harbaugh down, and it was mentioned to me that he is hoping it doesn't happen. He could be a negativity vector there. That would be the best case scenario for this undercurrent of NOPE amongst the cresting wave of euphoria for the same reasons Jack Harbaugh might be overly enthusiastic.
