2014 TSUN Football News

I love how they're all rallying behind the safety of the players now that they accept their coach sucks. If he were winning games, not a single one of them would even admit that Morris had a concussion. Now that it's convenient, they're pretending they're just looking out for the best interests of the kids.

Bingo. Michigan fans didn't say a word when Hoke decided it was OK to play Clark, Gibbons, or Lewan, but suddenly he's the biggest scumbag on earth for his handling of the Morris situation.

Sure. So would Nick Saban.

Question is why would any coach with choices walk into a place where they fired the last 2 guys inside of 5 years?
Well sure if you're trying to compare Alabama which is without argument a top 5 historical team to Stanford or Oregon that are still top 25 probably, but not nearly the level of Michigan. Right now they are both stronger than Michigan, but Alabama was also shit before Saban got there.

But to get to your second point, I'd actually disagree with that. Those coaches were holy shit bad. It's not like they fired 2 coaches for "only" going 11-2. They fired them because they were essentially .500 at Michigan. Over the span of 7 years. Do you think any team of Michigan's caliber WOULDN'T fire a coach for going .500 over 3 or 4 years when even a decent coach can go .750 with the resources and recruiting advantage they have? Thank goodness we were able to land Urban and have him trust us after giving up on Luke after 1 season of .500 ball.

Having said that, there's only 1 way they can get a better than just okay HC, and that's 1) firing Brandon and 2) get the checkbook out. Given those 2 criteria it doesn't sound like they will get a great hire, but if they would do both of those things they absolutely could get a good hire. But as I said above, that doesn't even mean they could land Shaw or Oregon's coach. But Shaw currently makes 3M/yr and Helfrich 2M/yr. an extra 2M/yr in shaw's case or 3M/yr in Helfrich's case could be appealing IMO.

The name, Earl Bruce, comes trippingly to the tongue.

“We now understand that, despite having the right people on the sidelines assessing our student-athletes’ well being, the systems we had in place were inadequate to handle this unique and complex situation properly,” Brandon said in his statement.
Uhhhhhhhh, concussions, unfortunately, are no longer a unique or complex situation you incompetent excuse making fucks.

Edit: read the rest of the article. It's full of fail throughout. Wow.
