2014 TSUN Football News

It's a sad day when your rivals feel so sorry for you that they are discussing who the next coach should be to come in and fix the program.

Is it basketball season yet?

The conference slate hasn't even started yet...

I'm hoping they keep Hokey poke around but then again it's only because I want The Game series record to swing in the favor of tOSU...lots of wins still to make up and 25+ years of dominance is what I want.

He could pull a miracle out of his fat ass and win 9 games and keep his job. Wait, did I really just type that? Fuck. He's as good as gone.

The best part is that most of them are advocating for Nussmeier, who has proven nothing, and is in charge of the most current version of their inept offense. If you ask me, his incompetent playcalling is as much a factor as anything else. But, you know, Alabama. :roll1:

"It's way too early for me to assess that until (offensive coordinator) Doug (Nussmeier) and myself look at the tape," Hoke said. "But one thing I can tell you. Sometimes it's just good for a guy to come out and just watch and see what he can from the sidelines.

"Look, there's not going to be any answers to that tonight. We'll compete and challenge like we have every day. We'll have a starting quarterback against Minnesota."

Seems like Hoke is really thinking "outside the box" on this one. When is the trade deadline again?

7 wins and I think he stays.

They're 2-2, and I don't think there are five more wins on their schedule. They will be hard pressed to beat Penn St, Michigan St, and Ohio St, and the games with Minnesota, Rutgers, Indiana, and Maryland could go either way. The only team they'll be a favorite against the rest of this season after yesterday's performance is Northwestern.

Sat, Sep 27 vs. Minnesota
Sat, Oct 4 @ Rutgers
Sat, Oct 11 vs. Penn State
Sat, Oct 25 @ Michigan State
Sat, Nov 1 vs. Indiana
Sat, Nov 8 @ Northwestern
Sat, Nov 22 vs. Maryland
Sat, Nov 29 @ Ohio State

Losing to Utah isn't the problem. Being thoroughly outplayed in every facet of the game against Utah is the problem.

Are we even sure that Hoke can go 6-6 this year? Michigan would need to win 4 of these 8:

vs. Minnesota (home game, Minnesota is just OK, at best, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Minnesota win)
@ Rutgers (road game, Rutgers will be favored)
vs Penn St. (offense will have fits against PSU's defense)
@ MSU ()
vs. Indiana (if the good Indiana team shows up, they'll blow Michigan's doors off)
@ Northwestern (closest thing to a sure win on the schedule)
vs. Maryland (home game, but Maryland isn't terrible)
@ OSU (no comment)

Keep in mind that Michigan's 2 wins so far have come against teams that have gone a combined 1-6 this season (with the one win being over 0-3, FCS Campbell).

I'm not as high on PSU as some, so I'd probably have that as a win. But regardless, should still get pretty ugly. :urban1::hoke::jt:

Don't mistake it. There's no feeling sorry here.

Actually, lots of folks here are looking for gas money.

I think 4 years is enough when you got periodically worse every year. 11-2 (BCS bowl win), 8-5 (junk bowl loss), 7-6 (junk bowl loss). I think they bottomed out at 7-6, and might get back to 8 wins. He's got 3-4 more losses on the schedule, and going into a bowl game at 6-6 and he's gone. Plus in 3 of the potential 5 or 6 losses, against their 3 biggest rivals, he's gonna get the wheels blown off. I predict him to lose by 28+ against the spartans and the buckeyes (both road games). Could lose potentially to both the pedsters and the newbie rutgers. Maryland isn't even looking like a sure fire win. They could finish at/near the bottom of the conference.

I get all that. I'm just pretty confident in the pizza man.

At some point - and it's already happening - enough pressure from within builds up and it ceases to be Brandon's choice.
That said, their woes aren't going to end until they get to the root and fire both those morons.
I can't really see them firing both at the same time, so.... good luck with that.

By far the most dumb fan base in America. And, no, to remove any doubt, I'm not talking about Alabama.
