Michigan: CBS reports that Alabama offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier has accepted the OC job at Michigan, and that he will be among the top-five highest-paid coordinators in college football.

Interesting wonder if Lord Satan approved this? I have a feeling Nussmeier was on the way out.. that's a very quick move for a guy in a stable position

The whole thing seems fast from Borges' firing, to this hiring, and now rumors of Kiffin to Bama as OC. Have to wait and see if any more info comes out once anything is made official.

Seems like they handled this the right way, if the right way is telling your guy he's your guy moving forward while you secretly hold negotiations with another guy, and then when a deal is struck you fire your guy and hire the other guy an hour later.

Now all they need to replicate Alabama's offense is the best offensive line in the country and 5 stars up and down the 2 deep at the skill positions.

I remember when those dumb bastards were jizzing all over themselves because they got rid of the DC they hated that ran too much prevent and were bringing in the young, aggressive coaching genius/recruiting juggernaut known as Ron English. The Buckeyes of course were doomed.

So forgive me if I point out that A) the scUM fan base is by and large completely ignorant when it comes to football and B) they haven't made a good coaching hire since before the Cyrus that was the scourge of western civilization was Billy Ray.

To my knowledge, Nussmeier doesn't have an ties to osu, or Ohio in general. I'm actually quite surprised that "Michigan Man" wasn't at the top of the list of hiring credentials. He was QB coach at Sparty though.
