I am moderately pleased by this report:
- It sounds like Dontre is at least roughly as good as Philly Brown, and he has more upside on evasiveness.
- The following players can only be better than last year: Evan Spencer, Corey Smith, Devin Smith, and Michael Thomas.
- It is good to know that Corey Smith has a high ceiling
It's funny at the "Percy harvin" position is still mentioned 3yrs into Urbans tenure, and our OSU teams are quite different offensively than the UF teams he had with Harvin. Harvin was their most important player on the field, but with OSU, Braxton is far And away our most important and best offensive player. Our running game has been our biggest strength with limits in our passing game. I don't see guys like Dontre, Jalin and Curtis being as big in our offense as Percy was because we have honestly a lot of talent to share, and to be honest Percy harvin was talent not seen in college for some time(there's a short list of players with those dynamic talents; Ted Ginn, Reggie Bush, Sammy Watkins, etc). I'd honestly rather have Braxton share the ball between devin, Corey, mike, dontre, jeff(or nick) And the RBs than have to force it to 1 or 2 guys like Tebow did at UF.
