2014 NFL (Well, Browns, so, sorta "NFL") Draft Thread

That fat ass coach for TSUN is pretty cocky too. So are the players. That phrase "false confidence" comes to mind.

Any idiot that was happy about Quinn or Weeden are the same that are happy about Manziel. I admit I wanted Colt - thought he could be a pretty decent QB. However he was a 3rd rounder. Not a top 25 pick.

Not to toot my own horn but I correctly was against Richardson, Weeden, and Colt. I was fine with Quinn I will admit that.

JF definitely appears to be the real kind of confident btw. Fat ass from TSUN is a bumbling idiot who has regressed his program the last few years, hardly a fair comparison to one of the most polarizing CFB players in decades.

What no?! Arm chair QB's are the underated scouting talent in the NFL! Those head coaches and scouts doing this for years and years clearly don't have the knowledge that some hater has who hates Manziel simply bc he is cocky and makes unusual plays!

Just like fanboys are willing to overlook significant flaws in their favorite players game and believe the mediots hype.

One way I look at all this is Gruden and other well respected guys from the league like him and think JF will do well. Ill take the opinion of guys who have been there then ones who are arm chair QB's who think they know so much more then the guys in the NFL.
What other well respected guys think he'll do well? How has Gruden's grading been over the years... Didn't he love Geno smith? If Trent Dilfer said something to the same affect I might be incline to believe , but if he was so great and destined for nfl greatness, why did so many QB needy teams pass...if we didn't shit the bed he woulda been there at 35

Compared to some of the players that we've seen drafted in the 1st round over the past seasons. There's a handful of people on this board I think could make better decisions than certain GM's and or coaches.

The front office that drafted Tim Tebow - pretty sure all of those guys made at least 6 figures. Yet they couldn't see what all of us could ( I collectively remember this board laughing hysterically at that pick).

Not my favorite player. I wanted Watkins at #4 badly, and was perfectly fine with CLE not taking Manziel and getting Bridgewater or Carr even. I just did not want Blake Bortles. Reminds me too much of Blaine Gabbert in some ways.

I agree that at times boneheaded choices are made, but we don't always know the circumstances. I mean for all we know the Denver owner could have force Tebow down their throats due to his popularity and filling seats/buzz of tebow and Denver. Heck for all we know Haslam coulda doone that for JF and CLE

so haslam's gm is a homeless man. makes sense.

 Got a big kick out of that one. I mentioned the flaw in that story being that Haslam needed to poll the other 400,000 homeless in Cleveland to reach a proper sample size.

But honestly, I think the Browns played that fairly well. The trade down to Buffalo was smart...the trade up one pick to get a guy they would have had by staying put was borderline-Radio. Gilbert is a great player, do not get me wrong...but also would have been available at 9. Then JF falling to 22? I went crazy and even though I am not a Browns fan, I want at least ONE of our NFL teams to do well. I promised to buy a Manziel jersey if it happened and it looks like I am stuck at my word, kid will be entertaining as hell to watch and finally bring some excitement back to Cleveland. Plus he is a flat out winner and competitor...sure he has flaws, but I think he will overcome them. Shit, I wanted the Bengals to take him at #24 if nobody else did. And you can still get a solid WR to match up with Gordon tomorrow in the 2nd...Lee, Robinson, Lattimore, or Matthews would all be solid picks there. Then you can get a good RB in the third. Just my opinion, but the Browns made themselves instant AFC North contenders today. Young defense, good OL, and enough firepower on offense to get it done.

As for the Bengals, I could not be more ecstatic. Needed a tough cover corner that can tackle and I knew Dennard was the perfect fit, I just did not think in a million years he would slide to us. I am pumped about how this draft turned out.

Wasnt that many teams who needed a qb. Try again. How cute that you call out the qb's they missed on but not the ones that they hit the nail on the head with. Once again, Ill take the word from those guys over anyone on here.
