I don't know when it became "gutsy" for refs to do their jobs in the last minute of a game. The game has rules for a reason.

Sully wasnt great on D either..But IMO he could have helped this year.

Sometimes, instant replay is more trouble than it is worth. The last 2 minutes of games take forever, especially when teams start fouling to "extend the game" (see basketball is the only sport that encourages fouling).

Let's zoom in and see if we convince ourselves something no one saw actually happened, and take several minutes to do it.

I think the refs almost force the issue. The semi game against Xavier and Greg Oden had to damn near throw the muskie guard into the cheap seats before the ref would call a foul...

I really don't know why they use instant reply if they aren't going to make a decision on what the majority of the viewers see. UA should never had a chance to win since you really couldn't tell who touched the ball last.
