2014 FIFA World Cup - Brazil

I feel bad for Neymar. Guy is 22, he's had to deal with an absurd amount of pressure being the face of Brazil and a homeland World Cup, and he's totally lived up to the hype and carried their attack. Now he's missing a semi and possibly a final. The tournament is worse without him.

Brazil can suck it though, they've been kicking the shit out of teams all tournament. I hope the Krauts fuck them sideways.

Agreed. Even without the injury, he should have been forced to miss the next match if the ref had carded him for charging the free kick yesterday.

The ref was dreadful yesterday. I dong know how two teams that are so skilled can play such shitty soccer. Card some people early on and make them stop fouling.

Yes, yes. All of this. Especially the last part.

Argentina so far is looking like a totally different team than what we saw against Switzerland. They're controlling the ball, attacking well and making Belgium look very uncomfortable early. It'll be interesting to see if the injury to Di Maria slows them down.

I was thinking the exact opposite.

Another player that's too good to do that [Mark May]. Messi is my hero.

Huh. I admit to not watching much international soccer apart from the World Cup, and I know the Costa Rican coach was complaining about his embellishment before the match, but I guess I just didn't see anything out of him that every other player doesn't do just as much of.
