Game Thread 2014 B1G Championship Game: tOSU vs. Wisconsin, Dec. 6, 8:17 PM ET, FOX

Bucks open as 3 point dogs for the game.
That's encouraging. Urban wants an angry team, and that will help. I see the Bucks with a double digit victory. Cardale hits a couple of deep balls and breaks off at least 1 long run. Zeke, Jalin, Michael, Devin, and Evan all contribute to keep Wisky off balance. Defense gets at least 1 turnover, and plays better than many expect.

I have to be objective about this. I had grave concerns about Whisky before JT got hurt. scUM ran well against OSU before their RB got hurt and that guy is nowhere near the talent of Gordon. Everybody is saying Stave sucks...but I saw a kid who found his TE and WR on 3 to 5 step drops consistently the last couple of weeks. It will take a tremendous effort by the Bucks to keep the game within reach for the offense. The Buckeye defense is going to have to win this game.

The offense has had great success when running a hurry up offense this year with JT exposing defensive breakdowns quickly and effectively. I don't expect much hurry up tempo outside of a wildcat formation. They will need to make sure Cardale is going through his reads and connecting properly. Turnovers could be the nail in the coffin in this one. I see being more methodical as the way to go.

I like the underdog perspective (did well with it vs MSU) as well as not having a game to look ahead to (ie. The Indiana game). I'm sure the team remembers last year quite well and are hearing all the negative talk. Hopefully it helps.

“man suffers most from the suffering he fears, but never appears, therefore he suffers more then god meant him to suffer.”
Dutch proverb

Decided underdogs.
Against a Heisman quality running back.
New starting QB.
Embrace the unknown in this game and just enjoy the ride. This is college football.
We don't know how Jones and the team will perform.
We can only try to enjoy watching these kids give their all.

I don't want to hijack this thread, or if this is the best place for this......

but if there was any truth to the black jersey rumor going around earlier this year, I can't help but think that wearing them in this game would be a great tribute to Kosta.

The fact that CJ has a cannon, I am going to be watching Devon Smith this weekend. If Cardale can get his timing right and good chemestry with the WR's this week I think going deep early with Devon could keep them honest on defense to open up the run game. More than likely I can see Bucky loading the box and forcing us to pass. So with that, as Lou Brown says 'let's give em a nice big shitburger to eat'

Offensive overhaul in one week. The challenge for the offensive coaches is a pretty tall order. JT had moments where he wasn't accurate but was usually pretty strong in that area. CJ hasn't really demonstrated that yet. A lot to prepare for in one week.

I think Jones will be fine. Maybe a little nervous in the beginning of the game. The thing that I find interesting, will be the play calling.
The last time we were the underdog, was the Michigan State game and Herman did a real good job in his preparation for that one.

Still tickets available...cheaper than a game in The Shoe for some of them. If you don't have your tickets yet, get them before any Wisconsin fan can. Will be hard to see the difference in fans, but we will need to be so loud that there is no doubt who brought more fans. Buckeyes are going to need all our support! Being loud and proud in games like this really does equal points!

I don't foresee Wisconsin fans gobbling up a large number of tickets. With OSU having an outside shot at the playoffs, it seems the stakes are much higher for Buckeye fans. That, coupled with the fact that this is UW's 3rd trip in 4 years leads me to believe Badger fans will be significantly out-numbered. Geography alone works strongly in OSU's favor.
