Oklahoma fouled just now up 3 with 6 seconds left Texas missed the front end of 1 and 1 and Oklahoma wins. Texas hit a 3 at the buzzer too had Oklahoma not fouled it would been OT.
Looking at those numbers from the other sites fouling makes sense only 3 out of 52 times did a team down 3 hit a FT then miss the 2nd and get a basket to send to OT.
I am no math major but teams usually shoot better than 3/52 from 3 point range at the end of the game.
Maybe we should keep a running tab here on how many times this happens and who wins and track it ourselves.
What does this have to do with Big Ten basketball?
Minnesota with an absolutely terrible loss to Northwestern at home last night. Their already-faint NCAA Tourney hopes are all but evaporated.
Yeah. Of that group, Purdue and Illinois are going to have to finish the year strong and make a decent run in the B1G tourney because they're firmly on the bubble right now. It's probably just Wisconsin, Maryland, Indiana, Ohio State, Sparty, Iowa, Illinois, and Purdue at this point (7-8 schools).
Crazy play.Oklahoma up 3 at Texas Tech just now with 7.7 seconds left fouls...the Texas Tech guy missed the 1st FT so still down 3 missed the 2nd FT on purpose they got the tip back for an offensive rebound right to the 3 point line and he hit a 3 pointer to tie the game. Too bad TT didn't make the 1st FT and that was the game winner.
