This will replace the annual Yahoo league that I host. If you haven't participated in a pickem league on BP yet, here is how you sign up & make your picks (Week 1 isn't populated yet). I'll be posting updates in this thread as the season progresses.

This will not replace the B1G Pickem that is also hosted here.

Hey MD,

Please look at this as nothing but a "Just My Opinion" post and nothing else. I, as much as anyone appreciate the hell out of all the work you voluntarily contribute to this site.

That being said, I must say that I am truly disappointed to see that this contest will not be held on Yahoo. The format there is absolutely perfect. Up to the minute results. Easy access to everyones picks for the games in the time slots. Real simple to go in and edit a pick right up until kickoff. I don't see any way how in this format that these options will be there (?)

Quite frankly, and I realize there are limitations to things that are able to be done here, this format (again, JMO) sucks. I look forward to the Yahoo gig every year for this contest as well as the confidence Bowl picks. If you could, please take some time to reconsider this move, or maybe even poll the posters here to see what their preferences might be. That being said, please decide based on whats right for this wonderful site that I will always continue to support. But if this contest stays in this format, I, for one, won't put up a bitch. I'll just sit it out.

We've started entering spread values for the first week's worth of games. We're waiting for a few more, and hope to plug them in tomorrow. As soon as they're in, we'll open the game up for picks. We hope a lot of people will participate this year. Top picker in each game will get their own unique banner trophy for use on the forums for a full year. We had a lot of fun with this last year, and hope this year will be even more fun as we've expanded from just the B1G to include high profile and/or noteworthy games each week from around the country.

I recommend those who intend to play subscribe to this thread so that you're notified when spreads are populated each week. Will post here tomorrow when the game goes live, and this will be the official thread for the game throughout the year. Good luck to all!
