2013 Week 9 B1G FB Open Thread

Not a bad deal to be honest.

Putting a team like Michigan State (who is on the cusp of the Top 25) or Nebraska (who is in the Top 25) on national TV is good for the conference. The B1G isn't getting any love from sports pundits and those opinions are the ones that are getting around to everyone nationally.

If these upper-tier B1G teams can handle business convincingly today it will help our reputation out with fans that don't have the B1G Network.

Sure. Giving some biased announcer 3 hours to talk about how weak the BIG is should be considered a "win" for the conference.

The big ten shouldn't be on national television due to how bad the conference is.

With all due respect - are you WATCHING the games we're watching?!? LOL

It's good to put something on TV when it isn't a pile of steaming, stinking garbage. That's what I'm seeing on ESPN and BTN right now.

To be honest with you? No, no I am not. lol. I was speaking in theory. That if a Top 25 team comes out and handles business against an unranked like they SHOULD, then it could be good for the conference on national TV.

Im not an SEC type fan. I care that the conference does good. However, unless the game is close, it doesn't rev my engine to sit around and watch Iowa, Illinois, or Penn State play. I would rather watch Wake Forest beat up on an overranked Miami team that is getting too much love IMO.
