Maybe. I don't know. Just seems like it would HAVE to me a distraction. Maybe not. 2-3 times a season going down during games seems like it would be distressing to me.To be fair, he's not considered to be at a high risk of fatality based on his epilepsy, from what I can see. He doesn't suffer from many (severe epileptics suffer anywhere from 1 a day to as many as dozens) and he's taking medications that assist in that. He hasn't suffered from any brain trauma in the past from seizures either.
Kill has helped rebound that program, and while I'll always be upset with Minny for letting Mason go, they should keep Kill. The kids play hard for him, you don't hear of many problems off the field, and to boot if they fired him they'd have a lawsuit so large they'd wish they never had thought of it!
They've got a system in place to take over when he's unable to go, but overall I think this is "common" enough now for the team that it isn't a huge distraction.
