2013 Week 5 CFB Open Thread

I think the play looked worse because the defender didn't wrap up the reciever instead just delivered the big hit with his shoulder.

That's the thing, I think it was a "dangerous hit," and I wouldn't have an issue with them trying to make the players use their hands and arms to make a "proper" tackle, because a shoulder to the back in that situation is dangerous. Since the rule is not written that way, however, it is not targeting so they got it right to overturn the ejection. The penalty yards being applied is complete bullshit, though. If you reverse the ejection, the hit was "legal" and that means no penalty.

Have they actually sacked the QB yet? They seem to be fine getting the runner in the backfield, but its like the QB is covered in grease.
