I was in Omaha for work the day Bo was hired. The excitement was palpable. He turned things around somewhat from the Callahan debacle, but could just never get over that hump. Don't see how they don't let him go, unless his buyout is too much.

After watching the conference for the year, I honestly think the Big Ten is much stronger this year than in the last few. The top 4, maybe 5 could really represent us well in January. Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Iowa are very, very strong programs imo. Minnesota is also a little underrated and could make some noise for us. Nebraska, *ichigan, and Penn State I could see getting embarrassed in the bowls. However, I think we are very strong at the top.

This is the first year in a while where the teams have improved as the season has progressed. In every year since about 2007, most of the Big Ten teams that made bowl games either peaked in September or started regressing as soon as the season really started in conference play.
Notable exceptions are Ohio State under JT and Meyer, although not the year under Fickell and then notably, Iowa this year and Sparty as well.
scUM has regressed as did Northwestern and Nebraska to a certain extent.

I think that we're just a head coach away from being relevant again (hopefully). Just haven't found the right guy to occupy the office in Lincoln yet, which is unfortunate.
When I say head coach, I mean top flight head coach.
