2013 Week 11 CFB Open Thread

Watching Florida Vandy. The gators are such a ridiculously undisciplined team. Turnovers like crazy, penalties like crazy. Can't blame muschamp, as it seems every team since they started winning titles has had some big discipline problems, at least Urban kept them on the straight and narrow on the field. Seems like a systemic problem with the players, go for the best athlete regardless of character. Then the upper class athletes mentoring the young studs. Living in Gainesville it seems like it starts with the fan base's desire to win at all costs and the administration buying into it to keep the doners happy. It's like watching USC Jr.

Guys that are emotionally volatile like Muschamp just don't seem to make good head coaches IMO. Reminds me of the John L-type personality -- a great assistant whose unit can be the most valuable part of the team, but as a head coach has a very emotional, reactive, and undisciplined group.

The guy at the top has to be able to keep composure and pick his spots. If he can't, his players won't either.
