2013 Week 1 CFB Open Thread

I know Bo is an alum of your guys, but....I hate the guy right now, I'm sorry.

No need to apologize here. I'd be shocked if you found anybody here who would argue that he's a good HC. He might be a good DC, but his recent outfits at Nebraska are calling that into question. You could argue that he inherited all of the good defenses that he has received credit for... first the remnants of the Blackshirts in his first stint at Nebraska, then the talent that he stepped into at LSU, and then inheriting the Suh-era defense from Bill Callahan (who wasn't even a defensive coach.)

I'm pretty sure all B1G games are broadcast nationally - at worst by regional coverage w/ reverse mirror.
Actually, this is not true. I could not watch the 2004 Ohio State /scUM game in the state of Maryland, as they decided to show NC State against Georgia Tech instead. The onlt time the game has been a regional broadcast instead of national that I can recall, but still...

Thanks. I needed that - there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth here in Nebraska tonight.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I was only able to catch a couple games a season when in Texas, but I sure as hell could watch UT, TaMu, TTech, UTEP, Rice, Houston etc....

That was nearly a decade ago. The guaranteed reverse mirror took effect with the conference's 2007 deal with ESPN, and is still in effect today.

I'm in Ohio, but I travel every fall. I can't speak for everybody else, but no matter what part of the country I've been in (Texas, Hawai'i, Colorado, Tennessee) I've been able to watch the Buckeyes on TV.
