2013 TSUN shenanigans and arguments

So...why is this any different from the prime time game against Notre Dame this year? Is there really going to be less tailgating than if it was Michigan State? I thought tailgating was always a constant, the only thing that affects it is kickoff time :wink2:

Well, you have to remember that the majority of the Notre Dame fans will be under the table after 2 or 3 orange cream margaritas.

I would expect Sparty fans to drink something a little more potent.....

Do not underestimate the alcohol tolerance of the Irish. We can handle at least 4-5 orange cream margaritas before passing out.

Considering his height, 5'11", 240 pounds is not what you want to be playing at.

I was just trying to think of running backs who would be of comparable size. Jerome Bettis is the only one that comes to mind, so it's not an impossible height/weight combination to be successful at, but based on the other discussion regarding his weight issues it's probably not ideal for Green.

Doesn't Hyde weigh around 240? I know he's a couple inches taller than Green, but it doesn't seem to affect him much.

Yes he is 240, and one inch taller, but the question you should be asking is what weight did he come in his first year. 240 with 3 years of collegiate weight training is different than where green currently is. Personally I think the green thing is being completely blown out of proportion, but is still at least something that you should definitely keep an eye out for.

Yeah, if he's lucky enough to be just like the ONE guy in NFL history to have feet like Bettis, Michigan will be just fine.

According to the very first post on the Hyde page, he's listed at 230 as a HS recruit. Seems kind of crazy he's only put on 10 pounds in 4 years. I hope Green can have the same success Hyde has had.

It's called weight redistribution. I'm sure his body fat percentage has improved as well. 240 pounds of fat is not the same as 240 pounds of muscle
