2013 TSUN shenanigans and arguments

I guess when you have to announce crappy football games all year, you branch out into fried chicken and racism?

Does this Frank Beckmann guy personally know Sergio Garcia? If not, his argument is moot. And even if he does know Sergio Garcia, his argument is lacking severely. It was clear to me that Garcia intended it to be a dig at Woods and blacks. Beckmann may be right, that fried chicken was a great accomplishment for slaves. But I have trouble believing that Garcia was using his fried chicken comment to give praise to Tiger or to blacks, in general.

My issue with it was that people need to realize the difference between stereotypes and racism.

One is ignorance, the other is hate.

Michigan would be wasting this kid's talent if he only played corner. They'll want him on the field as much as possible.

The skunkbears finally have two recruits in this cycle that legit scare me (Peppers, Harris). I would not have said that about any of their prior two classes under Hoke, though he did a good job recruiting good talent in the trenches.

maybe I'm a homer here, but I'm pretty excited about Dymonte Thomas as a recruit. Very explosive athlete with great top end speed and size, he could probably play some RB and return kicks and punts. At the close of spring Greg Mattison said that Dymonte is the starting nickel, a job he beat out a junior Courtney Avery for.

Also really excited about Derrick Green, he was a 5* and top 5 RB in his class for a reason. 6-0, 230 pound bruiser with speed and burst who should come in and get carries right away. I really believe that the sky is the limit for TE Devin Funchess, he had an impressive true freshman campaign and he's put on some weight and had an awesome spring.

Brady has only had 2 full classes, his 2012 was the #6 class on the 247Composite Team Rankings, his 2013 was the #7 class. His third is currently ranked #1 with 10 commits and depending on how he finishes they could stay there.

Michigan Footballs are still made in Ohio

The truth is that Michigan for decades has ordered its official footballs from the Wilson Football factory in tiny Ada, Ohio, and that hasn't changed. Per a Wilson source, Michigan's usual order of around 300 new Wilson footballs for the 2013 was delivered last week.

All 300 were, as usual, made in Ohio.

The original "not in Ohio" ball was apparently a promotional item from Adidas. If they were trying to promote arrogant uniformed stupidity, mission accomplished.

Like I've said before--Brady Hoke has created an atmosphere that makes Michigan look more and more like Michigan State every day. The funny part is that Wolverine fans have derided Michigan State for years for purportedly engaging in the sophomoric behavior that has become the norm at Michigan under Hoke.

From Nick Baumgardner, who covers UM from MLive:

Yeah, that wouldn't cut it with Urbs. I remember hearing that Green had some serious attitude/work ethic issues, which I can confirm first hand on behavior that I witnessed down at Miami (OH). E-ZE is looking like the better fit each and every day.

I recall hearing/reading the opposite.

If true, that fits the impression I have of recruits who are attracted to playing at Michigan under Brady Hoke.

[Brady Hoke]Michigan's great, you're great, just show up and we're guaranteed to be great![/Brady Hoke]
