Absolutely. It's just comical watching how much time and effort the staff on GBW has spent blaming trolls (and labeling them as mostly pretend Wolverines and not the overwhelming majority of fans that are unhappy with incredible underachievement) to shift the blame from the staff.

I can understand their frustration. I have seen instance of opposing fans posting links to video of UM games and to their schedule and results from the past two seasons. That's a bit below the belt.

Yes, but other fanbases have intelligent enough idiots to pose as Michigan fans as well. It's certainly a combination of both, but my guess would be the worst of them are from our rival fans.

Think about it. How is one way that an average fan can impact recruitment? By being a complete dick and posing as fan of another team. If anyone thinks this theory is tin hat, I have a bunch of bad news about the dedication to idiocy of college football fans...

A quick sidenote:

TomBeaver has always been a pessimist but he has become quite the realist and straight shooter under the Hoke regime. After some serious homerism (intended to protect Michigan I think), he has been very blunt about Michigan's flaws and the Gulf between their program and title contenders like osu, especially in recruiting battles. He has also been rather blunt about Hoke sind e before the season began. There are a few moments like the twitter troll stuff but mostly he is the straight shooter while Sam Webb remains the unwavering optimist and Homer that does not accurately report the bad situations if there is even a 1% chance of it turning around. Like when he was telling people how good of a shot Michigan had at Pryor when batch was openly expressing on Pryor's visit that he would not be a Wolverine.
