When he catches the ball, yeah. But that's been a problem the past couple of weeks.Funchess would be my vote. He's actually pretty good (aside from being a M*ch*gan prick and all).

Their offense, when successful, is basically the "Eff it I'm going deep to Funchess against man-to-man or dropping it off to Gallon on a deep out against zone... if I'm not running for my life within the first three second of my drop" show. When he catches the ball, yeah. Well he does have a semi retarded punching bag throwing it to him.
And he couldn't block my dead grandmother, so he's strictly a big WR but still....he's their best offensive player imo.
Kinda like being the smartest Hilton sister, someone has to be it.
I'm a fan of the WR/TE screen that they throw to him resulting in negative yards. How many catches for negative yards does he have? If the answer isn't at least 10, then he doesn't really fit into their system.
A natural evolution from the "Eff it I'm throwing into triple coverage and hoping Roundtree comes down with it" passing offense they ran with Denard taking snaps.Their offense, when successful, is basically the "Eff it I'm going deep to Funchess against man-to-man or dropping it off to Gallon on a deep out against zone... if I'm not running for my life within the first three second of my drop" show.
An unpredictable triple option: pass, sack or turnoverI'm a fan of the WR/TE screen that they throw to him resulting in negative yards.

Michigan's problem on offense is that they forgot Woody's old quote - "Three things can happen when you run the ball and two of them are bad."
Gardner immediately following the snap....
When your offensive line is as bad as Michigan's, it's hard for even very good skill players to look good. I think Gardner and Toussaint are probably better than we claim they are, but the O-line sucks so hard they have no way to show whether or not that's true. It's astounding how barren their offensive roster is of legitimate weapons. Honestly, who is their best offensive player? Gallon? He's a very solid receiver, but hardly somebody I'd call a "playmaker"...he's the equivalent of a "volume scorer" in basketball. Funchess is a talent, but he seems to have a case of the dropsies. Gardner is so shellshocked, he practically crumples into the fetal position after 3 steps and lays on the ground all hurt. Toussaint is a miserable RB, and Green hasn't shown a whole lot. But, I'm not sure how you judge them objectively behind that turnstile OL. They lose both their Tackles (and probably best linemen) after this year. And they've shuffled their line around so much this year, so it's not like they'll have much continuity on the interior. Maybe they bring in an OL coach after this season that can wring something out of these stiffs. But next year could be rough along the OL as well.
It is not the fans' fault that this program is awful to be a fan of. It's not Rich Rodriguez's fault. Anyone who sells their ticket for whatever they can get—currently 60 bucks and dropping from 80 yesterday—is only making a logical decision to not get punched in the soul dong on Saturday.
I'll hate them all the same, but half out of envy this time. They are no longer mindless wallets. They don't give a crap if Brady Hoke calls them fickle, and don't write articles on the internet about it. They are logical people.
The reason Michigan Stadium is going to be half-red on Saturday isn't because of "the world we live in" except insofar as it contains a Michigan football team that people at Abu Ghraib wouldn't show prisoners.
