2013 TSUN Football News

Amara Darboh out for season with a foot injury that will require surgery. That's a big blow as he was having a good camp and was suppose to be the #2 receiver behind Gallon.

Plus I saw yesterday that, according to Hoke, Green isn't even in the top 3 for the RB rotation and that about 5 starting spots are still up for grabs. Plus there is no separation between Cleary and Morris at the backup QB position. No playmakers + no depth + injuries + a coach who has never won a conference championship = mediocrity.

I say a record between 6-6 and 8-4 is a reasonable expectation this year for your team.

Why do you say that? WRs just get in the way with Hokeball.

because I think Darboh was going to have a breakout season. I was really looking forward to seeing what he could do.

I don't think you understand Hokeball.

A WR's job is to serve as a distraction for a few plays while the 7th OL/3rd TE is taking a breather.

Yeah, kinda sucks. Darboh is the kind of kid who could make a play and allow SCum to win nail-biters against the Northwesterns or Iowas of the world. Guess SCum's record goes from 8-4 to 7-5?

How were his desperation jumpball skills?

at 6'2, probably better than Gallon's at 5'8. Hopefully Chesson can come in and do something at 6'3.

Scary thing is, next season, Norfleet will be the oldest WR on the roster as a junior. Everyone else will be Sophmores and Freshman. I think they forget about this position during recruiting for a few years. Yikes

I mentioned it somewhere else but I'll go ahead & repeat it...During his tenure at TSUN, Brady Hoke has signed more TEs than WRs.

Gotta make sure that roster has 20 O-Linemen first.

And far better ones too. He has signed a host of very good tight end prospects, while he has yet to sign any high level wrs (Harris and Campbell are expected to join, though there are some questions about whether they will need time to develop before contributing, meaning they wouldn't contribute until later than their current enrollment in years 4 & 5 of the Hoke regime.

That's the beauty of the plan. Recruit a lineman like Williams and then call him a TE. Win win!
