2013 Preseason and regular polls

It's probably good that South Carolina didn't make the SECCG, in retrospect. I could see if they won it, with two losses, Alabama magically leaping up to where Auburn was and into the two spot. After all, it wouldn't be the first time they were awarded a NC game bid while sitting on their couches watching the SECCG.

This "system" is such BS.

Hypothetical worst case scenarios that won't actually happen do tend to paint things in a bad light.

Expect Mike Lupica to be fired soon. I just heard him say tOSU and Bama are the two best teams in CFB. Also bullied John Saunders into admitting tOSU belongs. Not belongs in the discussion. Belongs in the CG.
OSU doesn't belong unless they win next Saturday. That being said, Herbie spent a bit of airspace pushing the Buckeyes too. This while covering the Mizzou, aTm game. Little Johnny Fuhball won't be repeating as Heisman. That's good news.

Hey, I can play that game, too. When bad systems produce a result to one's liking suddenly the system is just fine.

Yes, the BCS is a great system. It has never produced a questionable result such as the one I referred to that did, in fact, happen. How dare I paint it in a bad light.

No one who loses next Saturday belongs, as well as those who lost yesterday and will be watching TV next Saturday.

Amen to Johnny Fuhball. Looks like McCarron's lifetime achievement Heisman is done, too. I just hope we don't learn Jameis is a rapist after they give it to him.

Doesnt matter as much now, but im still hoping for an sec matchup.
It will be interesting to see if the BCS committee waits to see if Winston is charged since the Tallahassee police are in no rush to judgement while there are still games to be won. I can imagine the local booster group looking for some hush money. If he's charged it becomes a question of, does a one loss SEC team trump a no loss FSU with an alleged rapist at QB?

Taylor Lewan: That's not the #3 team in the country.

Easy to say when you gave up almost 400 yards rushing and your offense decided to play the best game they've played all year, ya douchebag.

Someone tell Taylor Lewan if scUM had played like they did yesterday all season OSU might look more like the #2 team. We took their best at their house and still won.

The stakes just got bigger for next week.

No longer is it win and go to the Rose and maybe the NC.

Its now win and go to the National Championship. Lose and go to the Capital One Bowl.

I think if we win next week, it's national title. I don't see Auburn leaping us, they have 1 loss and by ESPNs own account last week should have 2. Won on a crazy hail mary against a bad Georgia team.
If we lose it looks like Orange Bowl. They get first pick for replacing FSU and get 3rd pick after Sugar bowl replaces their champ (with Alabama). So it would likely be Clemson/Ohio State or perhaps Baylor/Ohio State. We would be the biggest brand name and probably highest ranked 1-loss team.
