kind of hoping that the German dude Schroeder falls to the Cavs at 19.

don't need another point, but that guy looks better than his draft grade in like the 30 seconds of film i saw on him. . . .

would like to see him come off the bench to back up Kyrie.

i'd take Noel #1. don't over think it and hope the knee is OK. have the doctors go over it with a fine tooth comb, but if he gets past medical, take Noel with the #1 pick.

would love to see us move some picks and get the #13 out of Dallas too. we need lots of help still but are a borderline playoff team even with potentially drafting guys like Noel and Schroeder who won't help much the first half of the season.

there are rumors floating about that dallas is trying to convince dario saric to not withdraw from the draft, so they can pick him at #13 and let him stay in Croatia another year. so, they get the player, but don't have to pay him this year, which frees up the cap space. the downside is they won't be able to deal Marion and will be stuck with his contract.

I'm scared to death about Noel's knee, but I never knew he could handle the ball like this:

Cavs to pick Alex Len with No. 1 overall pick?

The Cleveland Cavaliers still haven't made it clear who they will select with the top pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, but Maryland center Alex Len could be emerging as the choice. According to one report, Len has become the likely option for Cleveland with the top pick -- despite his inability to workout for teams due to a stress injury which has kept him sidelined for weeks. In the recent months leading up to the draft, most analysts had assumed that the Cavs would take another injured college big man, Kentucky's Nerlens Noel, with the No. 1 overall pick, but it seems possible Len could be the preferred target for some teams. Taller, more polished offensively and more likely to play early next season than Noel, the Terrapins center could be the first name announced by David Stern when the draft goes down June 27.

Of course Len will be at the top at this point. Until Noel comes to town
to get inspected, Len will be at the top. I believe Noel is visiting on Thurs-
day. Either way, the Cavs won't get out there, who they're taking, especially if they're still tyring to trade out.

A few days before last years draft, the media world was convinced that
if Beal was gone, then the Cavs were going to take Barnes. When draft day comes, they pass on Barnes.

They've done a pretty good job keeping quiet regarding who they plan
on drafting.

you just have to know who to follow and when to look for the info. dion waiters at #4 was out there about 2 days before the draft. the rumored cavs board was Davis, MKG, Waiters, with Barnes and Beal interchangeable at 4. i'd say by monday or tuesday of next week, the cavs plans will be pretty clear for both #1 and #19.

It's just what you have to do in a draft like this with the #1 pick....make it look like you want Len, Noel, Porter, Mclemore to entice anyone to make the dumb move to trade with us.

Wouldn't be surprised in the least if they start leaking we want Bennett or Oladipo soon.

If I had to keep the #1 pick, I'd do the same. Is there a big difference in what you're going to get defensively from Noel to Dieng at #19? Some, but not huge IMO. Plus I'll hold out hope we can pick up another wing like Bullock at that spot.

Gorgui Dieng is going to be 24 by the middle of the season while Noel just turned 19. Their ceilings are vastly different and that's a huge deal. Plus, Dieng is not a starting caliber center. If you ask me, the difference is huge.

Noel is also a 19 year old coming off a major injury, has a small frame, lacks strength, and any resemblance of an offensive game.

With that said, you draft Noel for defense, no other reason and the same with Dieng but he at least has a more developed offensive game. Noel is easily the better prospect, but if you ask me if it's the typical difference between a #1 and a #19, I'd say emphatically no.

Everything you say is correct. Noel is 19 and already has had two knee surgeries. When he "bulked up" to 225, he blew his knee out making an abrupt stop. Dieng at almost 260 already, has an NBA body, and is strong as a horse. Noel's skinny legs scare me:(

Those guys don't know much more than you or I. This generation of
Cleveland mgmt. has been historically tight-lipped. I don't think they're
letting out anything that they don't want out.

I'll be glad when the draft is over. This speculation is getting out of control.
Every day it's a new player that's in the lead. They ALL have questions. This team is certainly not good enough to draft someone that's not a position of need. I like Porter but I just think you can find another sf somewhere else who could give what people expect from him.

I think I prefer one of the bigs, Noel or Len. With the second pick, I would take the bpa, especially if he's a shooter. They still need outside hooters. I can't say I know enough about Kasarev.

I just remember how pissed everyone was the last twoyears with the Cavs'
picks at #4. They've both worked out much better than the fan base thought
they would at the time they were drafted.

My favorite two picks would be Noel and Pope (if they somehow moved up.)

I'm certainly a homer but if the Cavs ended up with these three, I'm quite sure there will be a shitload more homers watching the Cavs next season!

1.PF N. Noel
19. SF Deshaun Thomas

Offseason trade: C Greg Oden

Make it happen.
