Alright...everyone mad dash to #10!

I made a promise to myself years (over a decade) ago that I would never be one of those people who sprint to a ball hit into the crowd.

They're almost as bad as the people who yell "Get in the Hole" on the tee on a Par 4.

Langer 7-over on his last 13 holes. Ouch. Great to see Freddy Couples continue his excellent play through Sunday, though. Go Geritol set!

Kuchar couldn't quite make the charge. Looking forward to his doing it in the near future. He's a very engaging young man. He, Snedeker, Bill Haas and Nick Watney seem to be a group of really nice kids who also can really play. Lots to root for in the coming years.

Tiger just not striking the ball and putting the ball equally well together this week. But he is demonstrating that, whether or not he's "back," he's clearly once again the best golfer on earth. Which has to make the rest of the Tour happy since he is their meal ticket.

Not sorry to see Cabrera fail in his quest. The guy is a poster child for not taking care of oneself, a bit like John Daly but with different vices.

Great Masters, overall.

No one is as bad as those people. For any normal tournament, I would agree about sprinting to the next playoff hole. However, it's The Masters, and I would be sprinting. It's not everyday you get to attend (I've never been, but really want to) the greatest tournament in the world.

This is one of those sporting events every year that NEVER seems to disappoint. What a great finish. I had my whole V-Life riding on Scott, yet when Cabrera threw that dart in at 18 I thought it was great. Amazing that you never hear anything about him until a Major rolls around. Dude knows Augusta and is a force every time he steps on the tee.

Other observations. Seeing Langer get off to his great start was wonderful. Sorry to see it end the way it did for him. That guy just dominates the Senior tour. Freddy Couples will probably never miss the cut again at Augusta up until he's 60 years old. He knows the course and has toned his game to the point that he's going to put up a number every year that will keep him in the conversation. Brandt Snedekar to me is maybe the most likable guy on tour that I follow. His day will come pretty soon to win a Major, and when it does don't be surprised to see him reel off a few.

Once again, a great show put on by the players. And thank God that a guy named "Tiger" didn't win it.:oh:

Peace

In hindsight, Tiger wishes he had done more.

Starting to see weaknesses in his game where he used to be head and shoulders above everyone else...green speed came to mind immediately today. In years past, especially at this course and at US Opens, it seemed like everyone else was banging it all over the green, but he figured out the speed in 1-2 holes. Today, it took him 8-9 holes, and he never really did get it fully. Those are adjustments he used to make early in the front 9 so he could use the last 12 holes to put tournaments away. I don't know, people can say "he's back", but I don't think he will ever have the aura of invincibility he once had.
