2013 British Open at Muirfield

I really didn't see this coming from Phil today, but it was just an amazing round. I kept saying to my family that I was impressed with how Phil was playing this week and he really was doing a great job keeping away from the big number. Other than the four putt on 16 Phil really stayed away from those shots that really have plagued him in the past in close situations in majors.

I watched Friday and Saturday and was sure this was the point where Tiger was going to be Tiger again - only one or two strokes off and either Westwood or Jiminez to beat, two guys I was confident would get the yips the closer they came to the end.

We drove home from NC on Sunday and I was thunderstruck when I turned on the TV and there was Phil with the claret cup. Amazing Jack-like performance on the last day.

I'm pretty sure Tiger has never come from behind to win a major on Sunday, so I don't think that qualifies as Tiger being Tiger.
