Not at all surprising, but interesting nonetheless: The front nine today has completely shuffled the leaderboard yet again. Looking like just managing to to hang on to an under-par score will be enough to take the jug.

In his interview with Rinaldi yesterday, Phil predicted -1 wins and E is a playoff. That is looking very real right now. Long way to go and the leaderboard is crowded and star studded....

Mickelson is actually ahead of Woods, now. Tough to tell who will win this thing, but history suggests it will not be Woods or Westwood.

This is some of the most entertaining golf I've ever seen. For better or worse, something of immediate significance is happening on nearly every shot by those in the top 5-6.

...and Adam Scott is falling apart. Mickelson is in as strong a position as he could hope for - in the lead by himself and putting for eagle.

Phil rips two three woods for an Eagle putt on 17 while leading The Open. Scott's terrible tee shot drops him back from the lead. Great TV right now.

If he gets home safely, -2 should be unassailable.

That missed putt for birdie on 15 by Tiger probably just eliminated him. Scott and Westwood don't look like they have anything in them at the moment that could bring them closer to Phil without getting some bigtime help.

Unbelievable bounce for Phil on 18! How that does not bounce in the bunker I can't figure out. Surely a two putt for par means someone from behind will have to make a serious run to challenge him even for a playoff.

Molinari's shot right after his was on the exact same line and bounced right into the sand. There had to be some incredible backspin on Mickelson's ball.
