Agree 100% on following the Constitution and rule of law. It is why we are a great nation. Without it, we are not a great nation at all.

I don't mind the exception though in matters involving national security. Ask all you want about other bombs or imminent threats to the public. After that though, read him his rights and let him have a lawyer. He is still an American citizen and has all the rights as such.

It was hard for me to go against a strict reading of the Constitution honestly if it helps you any.

Giving him the full rights of an innocent until proven guilty citizen would have demonstrated our greatness, especially when we had strong legal precedent to not do so.
