2013-14 Bowl Games Open Thread

Auburn -3 vs FSU
OU +10 vs Bama
Clemson -7 vs Ohio State
Stanford -5 vs MSU

Baylor -22 vs UCF
I'm up in the air on FSU/Auburn, could go either way, but will be less than 5. Both ESPN and Vegas are in it to make money. ESPN by selling the SEC. Vegas understands that their betters look places other than ESPN and the big betters spend a lot of time researching. Stanford/MSU will be close and could go either way, but I can't see Vegas giving us points against Clemson. Don't get me wrong, I would love it, but I think we'll be a slight favorite, anywhere from a FG, but in single digits. Clemson got crushed by the only two good teams they played, and we only got crushed by one of the two.

When you hear how awesome the SEC does in their bowl games this season, remember two of their opponents are Rice and Duke. :roll1:

Fvck Mark May. That fat, smug, arrogant prick sat there smirking when Reece Davis said "And now a team that thought they would be playing for a National Championship."

And then to my surprise he then talks about how the Buckeyes are going to whoop Clemson up. That "the Buckeyes are a mad football team. Urban is going to have them razor sharp."

WTF Mark May, what...the...fvck? Quit messing with my emotions.

And go figure David "I was a bust" Pollack is picking Clemson to destroy the Buckeyes.

With all the talk about the FG return versus Bama, lost is the real play of the year for Auburn. Without this, beating Bama doesn't matter:

They can go 4-3 with that schedule. Nebraska will be K-State, Minny should beat Oregon State (they've quit). If Sparty can not Sparty up the Rose Bowl and if Ohio State can stop Clemson 2-3 times in the Orange Bowl, it's a winnable slate.

After a rude awakening against the Pedos, I think Wiscy can take SC too. Despite their terrible record in the Rose Bowl, Wiscy has generally done quite well in the Cap1 Bowl against over-rated SEC schools.
For all the smack talk about speed, the SEC has never been able to handle the kind of bruising running style that teams like Wiscy produce annually.

That's pretty much every year though.
Between the major conferences (PAC, SEC, 12, 10, ACC)... the Big10 has the least # of mid-major matchups. The single mid-major tie-in is our worst rep against a MAC team in Detroit... which, thanks to having 2 BCS bids and Pedo State not being bowl eligible won't be filled anytime in the near future.

I think FSU whips the pumpkin out of Auburn.....The Barn has had a nice fairytale run but their defense is definitely not very good, they might get a share of point but FSU has a way better chance of stopping them then the other way around, 52-27 Noles.
