2013-14 Bowl Games Open Thread

I was going ask why I hadn't heard of Conner but true freshman, converted lineman, and Pitt having injuries would explain it. Given they're running the Wiscy offense I'd put this guy on your CFF radar for next season.

That and he was running behind a makeshift offensive line most of the year (they lost 2 starters during the Virginia game)...as it was they only had 6 OL dressed tonight.

This guy will probably get close to 2000 yards next year if he can stay healthy.

Has no one posted about Clowney getting clocked doing 110?

Jadeveon Clowney ticketed for speeding again

Jadeveon Clowney had best hope his draft stock isn't affected by his driving record.
The State reported that Clowney received a speeding ticket Thursday morning after being allegedly clocked at 84 miles-per-hour in a 55 mph-zone. Per information provided to The State by the Columbia police department, Clowney was pulled over near the intersection of Interstates 26 and 126, and issued a ticket for $445.

An officer told the paper Clowney "was courteous and didn’t complain."

The ticket is the second for Clowney in a matter of weeks, with the future top draft pick clocked at 110 in a 70-miles-per-hour zone December 7. That ticket cost Clowney $355.

South Carolina state law allows licenses to be suspended after an accumulation of 12 points. Guilty pleas to charges of driving more than 25 miles over the posted limit -- as in both of Clowney's tickets -- are worth six points each

Boy the MAC looks like dogmeat this bowl season. Bad showing.
Northern Illinois certainly showed how good they were alone with their Heisman Trophy candidate against Utah State. I did not think that OU would beat East Carolina and I was surprised that BG beat a very bad Pitt team and the Huskies really sure how strong the MAC really was this past season. It will be interesting to see how Ball State shows up.

The officials are stealing the show in Marshall-Maryland. Anything, and everything, draws a flag. TV Ted would be proud.

I've only been half paying attention, but does seem to be a flag every 5 plays or so.
Wondering if they're PAC officials.

Not sure if I'm half-assed rooting against Maryland so I can laugh at the ACC, or for Maryland since they're joining the Big after this.

It's a difficult thing not knowing how the media will spin it....

This and Pitt should be about how uderwhelming the ACC is this year, but guaranteed it'll be about how bad the B10 is next year.

Edit - and there it is. No discussion about Big all game until now. And they're insisting this laughable defense will compete too. They'll eed a lot more help from UA to pull an Oregon in the East Div. Starting w/S&C so theyre not injured so often.
