Why cherry pick when we can look at all of them? From the past 5 available years in your source (too lazy to go back farther), including Neb Rutgers and Maryland.
And sorted in order of TV ratings, with Mid Majors bolded.
It's interesting that games against Mid Majors have never been the lowest rating. It's always uninspiring BCS conf opponents playing each other.
Even the 10 worst ratings (excluding the NA) are dominated by major conf. matchups: 0.4 (Oklahoma St.), 0.83 (Iowa St.), 0.93 (Texas Tech), 1.2 (Kansas), 1.42 (Kansas St.), 1.59 (Ball St.), 1.71 (Miss St.), 1.72 (ECU), 1.89 (UCF), 2.00 (NC St.)

But what's even more pathetic are the records in our current tie-ins over the BCS era:
(SEC) Cap1: 7-7 ((I'm actually happy with this one, and it's a marquee matchup -- practically another BCS bowl))
(SEC) Outback: 5-9
(SEC) Gator: 1-2
(B12) Wildwings: 2-5
(B12) Texas: 1-2
(B12 - CUSA in the future) Dallas: 0-3
A lot of those ended up being played "up" b/c the B10 almost always sent 2 schools to the BCS. One good thing about the 'playoffs' is that, with another 2 slots, it seems like every power conference will probably be sending 2 schools to what's now the major 6 bowls (2 of which are Semifinals) filled by the shadow council.

CSU down 8 with 2 minutes to go and out of TOs...Wazzou runs zone read, QB is stripped. Overturned by replay. Very next play, WR is stripped by same defender. Wazzou scores and runs Staue of Liberty for 2 pt conversion...ruled out of bounds. Overruled by replay. Wazzou fumbles the ensuing kickoff...CSU kicks FG to win it.

It was an awesome game but that is a molten level of meltdown at the end...up 15 with 4 minutes to go, you should win 100 out of 100 times...let alone lose in regulation
