2012 TSUN shenanigans and arguments

I have no clue what Hoke will do, but they desperately need Stonum. Their WR corps is painfully thin next year. Losing Hemingway is obvious, but Odoms was another very steady presence for Denard's constant gambling.

Roundtree is very inconsistent, and the next best WR, if not the best, is Dileo, an average slot.

There was a reason they went after so many WRs this year, and are still pushing for them.

When Hoke "suspended" Stonum the scUM supporters got on their high horse about his supposed morality. He was planning for the future; saving a year of eligibility for a guy he needs to bail out his overrated quarterback.

If he keeps him now (and he will), he's just like every other college coach, including Tressel.

This also comes on the heels of DeAnthony Arnett transferring back to MSU instead of UM, giving Sparty the #8 WR in the nation from the 2011 & 2012 classes (Aaron Burbridge).

Of course, the spin up north is that there was no room for him, just like they passed on Aaron Burbridge due to grades.

Or maybe they didn't want to play with Denard.

I would be highly impressed with Hoke if he had the guts to kick Stonum off the team. But I doubt it because of their current wide receiver situation.

Principles are only worth having when you're willing to stand by them when it is inconvenient to do so.

Well call me irrationally pessimistic but my money is on fuck head Stonum making Hoke's decision real easy for him.

I don't think he makes it all the way through next year without doing something that results in the authorities dictating the terms of his absence from the team if you know what I mean.

This made me laugh:

Meyer has been able to flip recruits from PSU (Schutt), ND (Decker), & MSU (Pittman), but he has not been able to touch a recruit from Michigan's class even though Michigan's class is higher ranked than the other three. Hoke has stood tall and managed the optimism from OSU in the Urban Liar honeymoon period.

So, the months of total confidence that Dunn would head north... didn't happen?

I love the "Hoke is better than Meyer" crap they spew. Look at the records of each coach and tell me who is carrying the other's dirty jock around.

Those scummers, always making me chuckle.

It's pretty comical.

I do think the garbage man is a pretty decent coach...he way very well get them to Carr '98-'06 levels on a consistent basis. He benefitted this year from inheriting a decently talented, experienced roster. But, they benefitted from a pretty soft schedule in a pretty weak conference. I'm still pretty amazed they barely beat a weaked tOSU squad with a frosh QB and rookie HC. If those roles were reversed, with UFM or JT at the helm, I think it's a pretty lopsided game.

They really needed a decisive recruiting edge this year to get a leg up on the talent level. It looked like that might happen for a while, but now, UFM has closed the gap, and with a few breaks, tOSU could conceivably pass scUM in the recruiting rankings when all is said and done.
