2012 Preseason and regular polls (official thread)

Not far. MSU doesn't look like it will jump us unless they step it up, UCLA losing, if scUM wins they and ND may both stay ahead of us if its close. Chance Clemson may get their doors blown off. K State probably loses Someone else between 13-22 will lose.

Between 18-20 is my guess.

If I hear one more TexPN analyst talk about how bad the B1G is this year, my head is gonna explode!

UGH - we KNOW they're down now, we don't need a reminder every 3 seconds.

B1G fans like to think of their conference as the best or slightly behind the SEC. This is the continuation of a trend and I fear that it may now be reversed only after years of effort. Quite simply, the B1G is in terrible state, behind most of the other major conferences. It is not the MAC or CUSA, but it is getting close.

This.

Every year since about 2006 it seems we have been saying "this is the worst the B1G has been in a while" and every year it seems to keep getting worse.

2012 is hopefully rock bottom. The middle of the road to bad B1G teams are clearly MAC level. The "good" teams are fringe Top 25 at best.

I'm not big on conference chest thumping overall but this is ridiculous. The B1G should at least be in the conversation with the SEC/Big 12/PAC 12. When you fall below the ACC and tracking for Big East land, it's time to be concerned.

Every conference goes through its season -this just happens to be the B1G's season.

Two teams on sanctions that can't play in postseason play....
Second year in which a new team was added.
SEC/PAC12/BIG TEXAS Conf are all bedfellows....

Of course it's going to be rough, but it doesn't help when we're all gunned for by default.

What's happened to the Miami sanctions? The Oregon sanctions? How can the SEC come out smelling clean as a rose?

Delaney just pissed off the wrong peeps, that's all.

#14. Most everyone in the 12-30 range was mediocre this weekend, so another freefall was avoided.

Hard to believe we moved up two spots. Also can't see why LSU didn't drop below FSU...#2 LSU beats an unranked Auburn team by only a safety and drops just one spot to #3 while FSU beats #10 Clemson by 12 points and remains at #4. Right now, FSU would beat LSU even at Red Stick...
