2011 Women's World Cup

With Japan set to face two-time winners the USA in Sunday's women's World Cup final, coach Norio Sasaki said his team cannot expect a bumper bonus if they win but maybe a watch instead.

While hosts Germany would have received a bonus of 60,000 euros if they had won a third straight title in the final, Sasaki said his Japanese cannot expect the same financial reward if they lift the title.

"We haven't talked about money, but now we have reached the final, a watch would be a nice thing, that is what I would expect."

If Japan's coach (Sasaki) just wants a watch, it may be good publicity if Rolex or Hublot or someone just throws him and perhaps the entire team watches (win or lose).

What's wrong with one of those cheap Chines watches?

Besides - speculation on what will happen IF Japan should win is bad karma!!

Those Chinese watches would be the "someone". I'd put the favorites being Fossil or Swatch.

Don't really know about Japan's karma since they had that earthquake/tsunami.

Can't wait for the match on Sunday, should be a good one. Our midfield needs to play a LOT better than what they did against the Frenchies.

Carli Lloyd looked completely gassed in the center. Probably will be a lot better Sunday with the time off.

Delay this match for a week or two while they make it pay per view only ........and all nude.

I'm still thinking Sports Illustrated will approach some of them (not Abby Wambach) for a special section of the swimsuit edition (probably Alex Morgan, Hope Solo, Heather Mitts, along with other WPS players).

I don't know if any of them will agree (other than Mitts). The league (WPS) is on life support, being in swimsuits won't help significantly, but who cares.

France vs Sweden for third place, and the best reason to watch it - Louisa Necib - left with a knee injury in the 30th minute.
