It's a shame that they are taking over the recruiting coverage with such terrible journalists. I believe that sentence was trying to say these top-3 QBs were better than the next group (miller, etc).

That's what i was assuming, but it's pretty hard to tell. And there quality of writing is essentially horrendous. I feel like I could do a better job, and I'm just a high school journalist.

They have talking heads who cannot talk clearly, writers who cannot write, and recruiting experts who don't know a thing about most recruiting battles (see Pryor).

But they have a national network, big money & big sponsors so they are winning.

I was watching one of the practices earlier, taped it and just now got to it, and they started talking about Braxton Miller. They said he was almost a Florida Gator but Driskel committed there first, so Braxton came to OSU instead.

Well, they did finish second for him, tied with 118 other division I teams.

Jadeveon Clowney (Rock Hill, S.C./South Pointe) has moved his FSU visit to Jan. 28.

"I had to go to New York for some photo thing," Clowney said. "So we moved things around."

The nation's top-rated prospect also has a visit to Alabama scheduled for Jan. 14.

That was when he was supposedly going to visit OSU.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- It was a helmets-only practice on Tuesday as game plans were refined and players got a chance to rest their legs a bit and concentrate mentally. There were still some standout performances, particularly by a great group of skill athletes.

• Eli Rogers (Miami, Fla./Northwestern), a Louisville commit, continues to be a gamebreaker for the Red team. He has such great quickness and burst out of his cuts that its really difficult for defensive backs to give him any cushion.

• Although they weren't in full gear, Savon Huggins (Jackson, N.J./St. Peter's) keeps living up to the billing as one of this class' best everydown backs. He's not overly flashy but very well-rounded; reminds us of a faster version of Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice.
