2011 TSUN shenanigans and arguments (off season)

as long as it's not Denard selling it, making a profit, or getting any kickback, there's nothing to see here. These kids sign stuff all the time for people when they are walking down the street. What said person does with it after that is out of their control.

Now if he's signing that stuff for a free cheeseburger, then there's problems.

Heard from a reliable source, he's signing in exchange for velcro. :)

Will be interested to see what they do with the pants and the helmet..but this could end up looking 4 times as goofy as either of our pro combat looks if this is really what they are going to go with.

Now you're changing the subject (and showing an obvious ignorance of logic, I might add). You said you celebrate the accomplishments of Woodson, and I was wondering how you felt about his various alcohol-related run-ins with the law. Yet by attacking me and insinuating things about OSU players, you haven't really answered the question, you see? You've merely changed the subject in an lame effort to ignore the question.

I can celebrate what guys do on the field and be disappointed in what they do off it. Because they pull bonehead moves off the field can't change what the did on........Like he said, "he's human." Alcohol related incidents are a huge problem with not only athletes, but everyday people. I've worked with people over the years who get DUI's, I don't stop being their friends or I don't quit my job because I have to work with them. These are their mistakes. All I can do is lead my own life to the best of my ability.

I root for guys who give me an escape on Saturdays and Sundays, what they do during the rest of the week is up to them. I can't control their stupidity.

I hope that answered your question.

What do some of the resident wolverine fans think of this? Plausible deniability? I know it's more fun to talk about uni's or Drew Rosenhaus but seriously, do you guys think these are just turds or is there a pony somewhere?

I feel like I already addressed this, but can't seem to find it.......the problem these kids face is they are hounded probably day and night for autographs from anyone and everyone. For all anyone knows, Denard could have autographed that for a classmate or kid waiting outside practice. Then that person takes it somewhere to make some cash on it.

It's not against the rules for these kids to sign stuff, but if they are getting any kind of kickback for it, then the problems come. If there is an investigation into this and Denard is found guilty of selling his autograph, then he deserves the same type of punishment that TP and other got.

There's no denying that people out there will try anything they can to make a buck off someone. That's why if I was a college athlete, with all that's going on, I'd be signing one autograph per person, and only signing something for kids who were not as old as I was.

wouldn't that be something? Pryor (and anybody who does what Pryor allegedly did) gets in trouble with the NCAA because he's getting what regular students of the university can't get. to get around that rule, the scumbag autograph dealer gets regular students to go hound the athlete for his autograph. now the scumbag dealer gets paid, the pawn student gets paid, and the guy who should be getting paid gets nothing.

and that would be fine with the NCAA.

I agree with the above. Until it's proven he or anybody is getting a kickback, well I am not going to give to much thought.

Pointing it out and making actuations is just as childish as claiming Tressel's record is not 9-1 VS Michigan because he cheated.

Tressel beat our ass the last ten years, and DR is not getting kick backs until it's proven. It's not even being investigated.

They are both childish arguments IMO.
