it's being reported Tate is "doing everything possible" to get back in to Michigan.

[OLD MAN OPINING]It is much easier to stay in a program than to get back in a program. Tate's parents put a shoe up his butt and this is the response. It will only last until he finds an out.[/OLD MAN OPINING]

good article about Borges and how he will adapt the offense to Denard. Something RR may have tried doing with Mallet.

New U-M offensive coordinator Al Borges will adapt to Denard Robinson

New Michigan offensive coordinator Al Borges runs a pro-style offense, but he made clear he'll make it work for quarterback Denard Robinson.

Brady Hoke, hired as Michigan's 19th coach Tuesday, is building his staff. But Borges, who has a rich coaching background, including stops at Auburn and UCLA, has joined Hoke from San Diego State. He'll arrive in Ann Arbor on Saturday.

Hoke got a boost Thursday after meeting again with Robinson, who was uncertain about staying atMichigan after the firing of coach Rich Rodriguez and his staff.Hoke, who did a round of radio shows Thursday, told one station Robinson informed him he'll remain with the Wolverines.

Borges said he looks forward to sittingdown with Robinson, the Big Ten's offensive player of the year, and making sure he knows the offense will be built around him — at quarterback.

"I think the best thing when I talk to him is emphasizing that regardless of where I've been, it's not about me, and that we're creating this thing from ground up and the quarterback spearheads what we're going to do on offense," Borges, 55, told The News on Thursday. "You've got Denard, who we're going to keep at quarterback, and we're going to wean our team into some of the pro-style concepts, but we're not going to lose what he's capable of. I'm not smart, but I'm not dumb enough to not know that. He's got a skill we're going to exploit."

Cont'd ...

Not only are we out-recruiting Michigan, we have a far better class if you only counted kids who received UM offers.
Used to be the Ohio kids went to Michigan because they grew up Michigan fans ... loved that winning tradition.

High school seniors this year were in the 5th grade the last time Michigan beat Ohio State.

Per Scout SIX of UM's commits are now listed as "Soft". I suppose this could be a reference to not having Barwis around to toughen them up - but traditionally this means they are looking around.

This means they have seven solid commits.

If I am doing my math correctly they could reach a class of 25 - if they landed one recruit every day until signing day.

Problem is they continue to move in the opposite direction.

Hypothetically, would Michigan be better off not filling their class with below-average talent and signing a huge class next year?

Just bank a shitload of scholarships for next year?

Would the Big 10 allow them to sign a class of 35 players?

Or just go SEC, not bank any scholarships, sign to the 85 limit and not honor some of the scholarships next year?

It doesn't look it will end with the kicker. State Penn is sounding confident with Countess and it also appears that there are rumblings that Fisher is de-committing as well.

Fisher decommitted. Their four star LB out of TX is now looking at Colorado and Miami as well.

It's pretty sad when one of scUM"s commits is looking at Colorado of all places. Now that speaks volumes. I'm wondering if this first year under Hoke may end up being worse than Dick Rod's first year. There is absolutely no depth on that team and losing these commits (even if some are not highly rated) has to be devastating assuming they don't get any new one's between now and the signing day.
