50.1% chance he says something like this: If that's what we offered, and that's what Oregon offered, then just imagine what Ohio State paid.

Isn't it great being a sports fan/human being? You can take any series of events or facts and rationalize them in any way you please to match your previously held opinions. With this simple technique, you can go through your entire life without changing your opinion once and still be right about everything!

In my IMO, I agree with your IYO.

Actually the guy doing the blogging is not the most reliable source of accurate information, so most do not put much stock in anything he blogs about.

No need to spin, just wait for see what happens. I believe inaccurate reporting goes on these days, the last few months have proven this to be true.

for real. I'm not even really paying attention to this Miami story either. After 80% of the osu garbage got debunked, there's no point in putting stock into much until the NCAA actually does something. They are the ones who's opinion seems to matter in the end.

The stuff that tOSU is paying for, there was evidence on. Yahoo does their homework and shows their work in the margins. There is a mountain of evidence in the Miami yahoo story. Read it. That isn't dohrman, SI, or the Columbus Post Dispatch breaking it. That isn't going away and they will get nuked for it.

Yep. There's quotes out there from people who represent the university who have basically conceded that fact as well.

If you read the NCAA interview with JT he pretty much put it out there. It's heavily edited, but you can read between the lines.

Yep. They have records of cell phone calls and financial records. They also have players confirming it happened. The biggie of course is the coaches. Miami could get the death penalty. More people confirming it and other evidence could still come out. It doesn't look good for Miami.

Yes, you could easily tell what was going on. Makes sense Oregon would be involved as (if my memory is correct) they became a player LATE in the game with his recruitment.. + their track record with recruiting and $$$.

I wonder if that interview between the NCAA & JT sparked this..

Disappointed, but I'm not shocked. Nobody really should be shocked at this. I'm sure the things that went on at OSU and Miami go around at other schools. Maybe not as large at Miami but it's there.

Just don't get caught or [censored] boosters off.

Tattoos and selling game pants shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence with Miami zwem.

I wouldn't have a problem if you had said USC or UNC but you putting those two together, to my paranoid eyes, seems like you are giving the two situations equal billing.

The shit storm at Miami is an almost decade long middle finger at just about every rule in the NCAA book. Pryor and the others sold some of their shit for free tattoos. espin decided to make that their focus all summer long and, for that, Ohio State will get mentioned every fucking time another program gets a story written about it. What Pryor and the others did is a parking ticket compared to what has gone on at USC, UNC, Miami, Oregon, and Auburn.

Sorry for the rant, but it pisses me off to hear people say "things that went on at Miami or Ohio State".
