SPC held Fairfield 17 points under their average then held Iona 22 points under theirs, knocking off the top two seeds to steal the MAAC bid.

In other action... North Texas knocks off Western Kentucky in the Sun Belt semifinals. They'll face the winner of Middle Tennesssee & Arkansas-Little Rock, which tips momentarily.

Oakland beats South Dakota State in a defense-optional game in the Summit League semifinals. I watched about two minutes of that one on ESPN3 - it was literally nothing but back-and-forth uncontested floaters. I imagine it's what an NBA All-Star game would've looked like in the 1950s. Oakland will face the winner of Oral Roberts-IUPUI, which tips off shortly.

Until being reminded of the fact by tonight's final between Gonzaga and St Mary's, I'd forgotten that the West Coast Conference basketball teams were populated by a bunch of semi-athletic hippies wearing shorts and singlets. You'd think that Adam Morrison would be enough to keep that in our minds at all times, but apparently I'm old enough to forget.
