2011 Men's Basketball Conf. Tournaments

On ESPN3... The Ivy League doesn't have an official tournament, but Princeton effectively finds themselves in a playoff situation. They need to beat Penn (in progress) to force a tie with Harvard and a one-game playoff for the league's automatic berth.

With about 5-1/2 minutes left, Princeton has started to pull away from Penn. 55-42 is the score at the moment.

Watching South Florida and Villanova on ESPN3. Ex-Buckeye PG "Noopy" Crater is leading S.Florida, 9-22 on the year. They said a little bit ago that S.Florida is the worst in the Big East in turnover margin at -5.0/game. The 2nd worst in conference is -1.8.

Everything has a funny way of working out. What could have been a TERRIBLE problem for our team to have this year (no real PG) comes Aaron Craft. I feel bad for Noopy, but what can you say to him?

Wow. Ark-LR went full court press and forced a bad pass turnover. Down by just one though, they seemed to only look for a three, which was missed. UNT got the rebound and drew a foul with :07 left and missed the first...

North Texas-UALR looks like the 6th seed versus the 7th seed in the title game. NT won both regular season match ups, so don't be surprised if UALR prevails this time.

UALR wins 64-63 to get their first bid since 1990.

I've liked them ever since they knocked out two-seed Notre Dame in the first round of the 1986 tourney.

Princeton beats Penn, forces one-game tiebreaker with Harvard for the Ivy League championship.

Harvard has not played in the NCAA tournament since 1946. They were eliminated by Ohio State that year.

I'm rooting for the Crimson.

'Nova is collapsing again.

I keep hearing Villanova is "in" but if they lose to South Florida as the 10th place BE team should they be? That would be 7 losses in their last 9 games.

USF wins, 70-69.

Sorry, but the 10th place BE team ending its season this way does not warrant a bid to the dance IMO.
