Brian Rolle and Ross Homan will be gone, and Andrew Sweat, Etienne Sabino, Dorian Bell, and Storm Klein will battle for playing time.

What do you say we do with Nasty Nate then?scarletngray;1852547; said:I'm a big Storm Klein fan but the athleticism that Bino and Bell bring is off the charts. Both of these guys could turn out to be something very special.
What are the chances that Bino plays LEO with Klein at MIKE, Bell at WILL and Sweat at SAM or is Bino slated for MIKE?

Bell has a lot of talent, but he isn't "getting it" (think Sabino's first couple of years). I think Dorian needs to work hard to get back in Fickell's good graces and I really don't know how much we'll see of him in the first couple of games next year. And this isn't any knock on his ability.
I don't think you will see Sabino at anything other than Will; remember Sweat won the starting Sam job this year because Sabino had a hard time learning the different responsibilities. He's not going to play any other LB position other than that. Also, I wouldn't sleep on Newsome getting a lot of action.

OHIO STATE POSITION PREVIEW 2011: LINEBACKERS, REPLACING SENIORS
By Lee Hudnell
COLUMBUS ? In the six seasons that I've been covering Ohio State football it seems like every year the Buckeyes are looking at replacing star linebackers in its lineup.
First it was trying to find replacements for A.J. Hawk and Bobby Carpenter. Then there was the task of replacing James Laurinaitis and Marcus Freeman. And going into the 2011 season, the Buckeyes are looking to fill in holes that Brian Rolle and Ross Homan ? Ohio State's leading tacklers the past two seasons ? left behind.
It's a never ending struggle ? but a struggle that the Buckeyes always seem to overcome.
With a roster loaded with talent at linebacker, and a quality group of incoming freshman to choose from, as well, the Buckeyes problem really isn't if they have the thoroughbreds, but which ones they want to send to the derby.
Let's take a look at what the two-deep depth chart at linebacker may look like going into 2011 ...
