2010 TSUN offseason arguments & shenanigans

We'll see what Harbaugh can do with out his golden boy this year. and we'll also compare RR third year to JH when it's over.

Andrew Luck will hold things together I'd bet. That and the Pac-10 competition isn't going to stiffen much with half of USC's starters gone and Oregon losing Masoli. Who knows...but I would be willing to bet they have a better record than scUM when bowl season rolls around.

I'm sorry, I just found this funny...

So where are we now? OH QB Cardale Jones is the only quarterback prospect still out there who is holding an offer. This makes it much more likely that FL QB Kevin Sousa (seen at right) eventually lands that coveted letter from Rich Rodriguez.

From mgoblog.

"Coveted"? :slappy: According to the beav, they've floated well over 150 offers already. This guy makes Zook look picky. "Coveted".

Harbaugh's dark side is waiting less than 24 hours after Bo died to talk [censored] about UM academics. If he had any balls he would have said something to Bo's face, not wait until he was deceased. I hope we never hire Jim Harbaugh.

I hope we do. I know some fans took it personal when he called us out. It doesn't mean he doesn't love Michigan. I know in his heart he does. Look....the academics at UM are great and anybody on this board that doesn't think so is an idiot. Most Michigan players don't seem to realize this and try to coast through. I have no problem with the stars that are going to be high NFL picks that take kinesiology. They are going to be set up with the money they make in the NFL. The players that don't end up playing pro ball.......well I would love to see them get real degrees to set them up for the future. I bet Jim Harbaugh would come in and try to address that. Sometimes the truth hurts and most Michigan fans were disappointed with that. Sometimes we have to address the problems at Michigan to make it a better university for academics and sports.

Jim Harbaugh was successful at San Diego and is doing a good job at Stanford. Stanford was just horrible when he arrived there. I even said to myself.....why in the world he would take that job after Stanford went 1-11 the previous season? He beats teams he is not suppose to beat and has actually had some good recruiting classes. His record isn't great but sometimes it can be misleading.

I know the state of Michigan doesn't stack up with most states when it comes to high school football. I bet Jim could close the state down and focus on getting the best players to come to Michigan. Michigan has had so much trouble the past 4 years to do that. Get the best players then worry about recruiting Ohio, Penn, Ill, Cali, Florida, and Texas.

He focuses on the running game and runs a pro style offense. Let's hire him and give him 4-5 years. Might take a while because of all the players Rich Rod recruited. then again Jim might just take those players and start to win immediately. Let's get back to a pro style offense and a 4-3 defense. I think we might actually be ok. Jim knows what it is like to beat Ohio St....Richrod doesn't and to be honest, he probably will never know what it is like.

I think Richrod's offense will be alright. Sure we might score 35 points against a few teams. That's all dandy except when the other team scores 45.

The first part of this statement is why many Buckeyes do not want to see Harbaugh at the helm up there at UM, and the second part of this statement is why Buckeyes practically jumped for joy when DickRod was hired by that magnificent-son-of-a-bitch, Bill Martin (Bless him!).

Not sure if this was posted yet.....

A preview of Phil Steele's preview

Michigan
Big Ten pick: Tied for 5th.
National rank: No. 37.
Bowl: Gator (Jacksonville).
All-American: Guard Stephen Schilling, second team.
Comment: "There were a lot of signs pointing up for Michigan last year and things looked good when they jumped out to a 5-2 start but stunningly lost their last five and tied for last place in the Big Ten. This year they figure to be a vastly improved team and three of my nine sets of power ratings actually call for them to go 6-2 in the Big Ten. I'll call for Michigan to have a 5-1 start to the season and a much better finish. Rich Rod (Rodriguez) is one of my top coaches on the hot season but should be off of it after 2010."
Opener: Sept. 4 vs. Connecticut.
