2010 TSUN offseason arguments & shenanigans

Cissoko was just embarrassing during that ND game. Like you guys said, continually torched all day long yet chest pounding himself every time one of the ND players just dropped the ball. That was literally the only time he could celebrate was when they just straight up dropped it.

Dear Diary: Interviews Edition | mgoblog

mgoblog's love of shoelaces is bordering on creepy (see illustration in link) and much of it's creepiness is spilling over to their dimwit fanbase. I love how they think a guy who could barely complete a five yard pass without an interception all last season is the new second coming. He lights it up not against their shitty starting D, but against their even shittier 2's and 3's and suddenly an awful lot of them think he's pre dog years Mike Vick. :slappy:

Just his mechanics alone showed a world of improvement in the spring game. Doesn't matter what D he was playing against, he still has to put the ball on target, which he was doing. I still think Tate will be the starter, but I won't be surprised if Denard takes over at some point......It's much better talking about the fight at QB between Tate and Denard than it was between Threet and Sheridan.....LMAO

Same as last year: mediocre offense lights up bad defense. Come the season, it will get ugly again. Same as last year.

Exactly, UM's offense lit up the defense last year and Tate looked all world in that game. UM plays teams with defenses and gets demolished and wins 1 Big 10 game.

UM still has no defense and no good threat to run the ball up the middle. Let's see how Denard does when there's pressure to perform against a team that fields a good defense.

we weren't 12-0 last season? DAMMIT!

They were 12 - 0 last year. Just read Stadium and Main. They won every game on the field, the final scoreboard has nothing to do with how they actually played on the field. They got robbed in those losses!!!!

Seriously, they beat OSU. You just have to get rid of Tate's turnovers and couple of OSU TDs that should have never really happened (because, you know, the D was just caught off gaurd and they should have done those plays over), and because RR's system ZOMGZ THE BEST EVAH!!!!!BARWIS!!111!!!!.

It's much easier to put the ball on target when you don't have 250-300 pound DL breathing down your neck. It's also easy to put the ball on target when he's wide open because of shitty and blown coverages. We'll see how he does when he's under pressure and has to actually read a defense....where he really struggled last year.

We saw this spring why Denard is the future of this offense, at least until Devin is ready.

Denard has improved at throwing the football and decision making in the option game. Tate doesn't have much upside left after a decade of QB coaching and it shows in his progression. He also is a poor for in RR's stubborn system. He is better suited for a finesse passing system, even just intermittently. Instead, his frail body is a poor fit for the pounding and running style (he is better at escaping than running) of that offense. I can't help but think back to when he verballed and poppa Forcier boasted about how NFL scouts were telling him that the spread was thriving in the NFL. He apparently didn't research what type of spread, seeing as only one team had pulled off the read option game and they weren't even able to utilize a legend like pat white.

So essentially the optimism this year comes from a feeling that QB play might go from bad to mediocre and that the DC in charge of the B10's worst unit is back for a second year minus the one impact player he had. If all of this comes together in the best possible way then they might win 6-7 games and get the B10's lowest Bowl slot.

Well look at the bright side scUM fans, after suffering through another rough football season you'll at least have basketball to look forward to.

Have I ever told anyone I think Bill Martin is one magnificent SOB?

During the 07 season we all knew it was Rich's last yr, if I saw 1 post I saw a 1000 from osu posters whenever any name was brought up about the next coach at michigan. So many were glad michigan has no shot at Rodriguez, can you imagine if he got michigan's talent with his system...., so many things I saw continually till the day he was hired and instantly we heard the opposite.

Apparently, energyblue1 has never been to BuckeyePlanet...or Hineygate...or reality.

Give him credit, he did say "Michigan's talent" and not "West Virginia's talent at Michigan", so we need to give him time.
