Conclusions
Tressel knows how to win games, but the jury's still out on whether he's actually building a program the way RR is at Michigan or if he's relying on high-quality recruits to win games for him. Given how badly he's been outschemed against quality opponents (1 for 3 in NC games, losing half his bowl games, losing 2 in a row to USC), I lean towards the latter.

Really?? The man has only handed scUM their ass almost every year since he became HC of Ohio State. Also, how many NC games has scUM sniffed over the same period of time? Just wow.

My guess is this guy rides a unicorn to his job at Candy Mountain everyday as well.

I love the fact a scUM fan is talking about Jim Tressel losing "half his bowl games" (actually, 5-4 dipshit). Lets take a look at scUM's illustrious bowl history:

Rich Rodriguez: :slappy:
LLLLLLoyd Carr: 6-7
The Drunk: 4-1 (3 of those wins were in lower tier bowls)
"The Almighty" Bo: 5-12

So, since their deity took over, they're 15-20 in bowls, and since JT arrived in Columbus, they're 2-5 in bowls. Fucking hysterical. Those fuckers are really the most delusional fanbase in the country (sorry domers). They're kind of like that drunk 40 year old guy wearing Ed Hardy crap at a bar thinking he's a catch, when really everybody in the bar is just snickering at him behind his back.

I'm sorry, but your math must be off. JT arrived in Columbus for the 2001 season. You're saying since then, Michigan is 2-5 in bowls, which means they've only played in 7. But 2001-2009 is 9 seasons.....so you must be missing 2 bowl appearances for Michigan.

It's worse than that. It's sunk to something approaching MAC level bitching. It's a real damn shame too. I mean, it used to be you hated Michigan, but you still had some degree of respect for them in a "they're a peer" sort of way... a "they bring out the best in us" kind of thing.... But now...

I don't read their boards, but I would bet dollars to donuts they're posting shit like "The Buckeyes have never seen anyone like [insert name of player Ohio State has seen plenty of] before. No way they can stop him."

Fuck them.

What I find amazing is no one seems to be acknowledging the high probablitity that don't get to those 7 wins. I know its been done before but here we go again. Just a reminder

I've got 4 definite losses: Iowa, OSU, PSU, Wisconsin so we start out with a max of 8 wins.
I've only got 2 definite wins: UMass, Bowling Green,

To get to 7 wins before the bowl: they have to win 5 of 6 out of (UConn, @ND, @Indiana, @Purdue, MSU, Illinois)

Eh, so we'll give them Illinois. Now that's only 4 of 5. They really have confidence that this man is going to win 4 out of those 5 games?

What happens if (when) they start out that stretch 0-2 (UConn, ND)?
